Twisted Disco is all about what Hed Kandi does best. Two great mixes of mainstream house, funked up by the boys at Hed Kandi, and House clubbers orientated tracks. This album once again offers the very best of both in an energised album full of dirty house beats that get the body grooving.
Even the commercial tracks like Make A Move on Me and My My My (Joey Negro and Armand Van Helden respectively) have been given a darker more cutting edge.
A couple more standout tracks I would like to highlight including Waiting In The Darkness by Erick Morillo, light trance-esque vocals over a harder dirtier house beat. Muscle Car by mylo, all about big beats and bass, same can be said about the Tiga track.
A pleasent suprise was Your Body by Tom Novy which fits just perfectly. The Yoshimoto is also fantastic along with Tribulation by LCD Soundsystem, again another dark and dirty track
Overall this album is excellent, with a brilliant track selection and almost immaculate mixing, mind you, you dont expect anything less from a Hed Kandi album.
Ministry of Sound and other compilation producers should sit up and take note, this is how it should be done. Easily on a par with the mixing of Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise.
